Canada at the World Cup
Canada first played at the FIFA World Cup in 1986. In 2022, Canada qualified for the World Cup for the second time, ending a 36-year drought. In their second match at Qatar 2022, Canada made history with their first ever goal at the men's tournament finals, however it was not enough to stop them being eliminated.
For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Canada automatically qualified due to being co-hosts.
1986
Canada didn't make it out of Group C at the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
2022
Canada lost all its three group games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and didn't progress to the next stage of the competition.
2026
Canada is one of the hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and have qualified automatically for the competition. They are in Group B and will play against top teams like Switzerland, Qatar, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
